Arizona jumps 9 spots after taking down Duke while James Madison, Colorado make AP Top 25 rankings

After the first full week of the 2023-24 college basketball season, Arizona jumped nine spots ahead in the AP Top 25 poll after taking down Duke, 78-73, on Friday. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Arizona now ranks No. 3. With the loss, Duke dropped seven spots to No. 9.
  • James Madison joined the rankings after opening up the season with a 79-76 overtime win against Michigan State en route to a 3-0 start.
  • Colorado also joined the list after opening up the season with two convincing wins, a 75-57 and 95-63 takedown of Towson and Grambling, respectively.
